Washington, D.C. – On Tuesday, May 9, 2023, the Minister of Agriculture, Marine Resources and Family Island Affairs, the Honourable Clay Sweeting, paid a courtesy call on the Ambassador of The Bahamas to the United States, Wendall K. Jones.
Ambassador Jones and Minister Sweeting had the opportunity to discuss the current agricultural priority areas, needs, and deficiencies of the agriculture industry in The Bahamas.
Minister Sweeting and his five-member delegation are in Washington, D.C., to attend the Aim for Climate Summit at the JW Marriot on May 8-10, 2023. The focus of the Summit is to collate ministers, partners, and experts to encourage collaboration and the exchange of information to cultivate solutions for a more sustainable world.
