The Bahamas Ambassador to the United States H.E. Wendall Jones was among the special guests attending the launch of the new book on facing the extreme climate of Washington called “Far From Home” by Senator Lisa Murkowski, Republican of Alaska on Tuesday evening. Among the prominent Washington journalists in attendance was famed author Bob Woodward.

Among the prominent Washington journalists in attendance was famed author Bob Woodward.

 

While a reporter for The Washington Post in 1972, Woodward teamed up with Carl Bernstein, and the two did much of the original news reporting on the Watergate scandal. That scandal led to the eventual resignation of President Richard Nixon. Since 1974, he has written 21 books on American politics and current affairs, 14 of which have topped best seller lists.
