NASSAU, Bahamas — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration is hosting its Second Annual ‘Diplomatic Week,’ October 18 – 24, 2015 under the theme “Diplomacy: Positioning for the Future Toward New Approaches, Tools and Methods for Implementing New Goals.” The event serves as a forum to strengthen and deepen bilateral and multilateral relations with some 70 countries. Diplomatic Week 2015 will also provide an effective arena to extend The Bahamas’ campaign for election to the United Nations’ Human Rights Council and re-election to the International Maritime Organization. During the week, key government officials, inclusive of Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Perry G. Christie and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration Hon. Frederick Mitchell, will discuss the foreign policy of The Bahamas.
