On Wednesday, 13 March 2024, Ambassador Jones attended the 2024 MSME Regional Summit: Expanding International Market Opportunities for MSMEs at the US Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C.
The Organization of American States and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce co-hosted a two-day Summit that converged industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and policymakers to discuss strategies, partnerships and policies to assist Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) regionally and globally. Over the course of the event, attendees were panels engaged in conversation that covered a myriad of topics like transportation and logistics, access to financing, digital transformation and payments, the power of Artificial Intelligence, leveraging diaspora markets and exporting, among other things.
Also in attendance was the Access Accelerator, Small Business Development Centre (SBDC), Executive Director Samantha Rolle; Director of Client Advisory Services Leo Rolle; Team Lead of Post-Funding Deborah Gibbs; Executive Assistant Cordelle Taylor-Smith and two of the SBDC’s clients – Mr. Derek Sands, Owner of ShipX, and Mr. Nikoan Johnson, Owner of Jetlocker.
