On Friday, July 17, 2026, Bahamas Christian Council President, Pastors Mario Moxey and Mrs. Erika Moxey, paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Ambassador Wendall Jones at the Embassy of The Bahamas in Washington, D.C. The visit included discussions on faith, national development, and the role of the church in the Bahamian community at home and in the diaspora. Pastors Moxey also attended the 53rd Bahamas Independence Celebration in Washington, D.C.
