The Embassy of The Bahamas in Washington, D.C., in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Investments and Aviation, hosts The Bahamas Business and Investment Forum 2024 in Washington, D.C. on 12 September 2024
 
At the Forum, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investments and Aviation, I. Chester Cooper, stated, “We want to do business with you. And The Bahamas is an amazing place to do business.” DPM Cooper expressed interest in key areas like sustainable development, digital innovation, Artificial Intelligence (AI), blockchain technology, Public-Private Partnership infrastructure, FinTech, wealth management, tourism, real estate development, shipping, logistics, alternative energy and more.
 
He further spoke to the Economic Permanent Residence program, which offers Permanent Residency to investors who purchase real estate of $1 million plus or more.
DPM Cooper also informed attendees of progressive legislation, including the Digital Assets and Registered Exchange Act, the Longevity and Regenerative Therapies Act, the Climate Change Initiative Act, the Carbon Credit Trading Act, and the Cannabis Act, which illustrates The Bahamas’ commitment to revolutionising and diversifying the economy.
