Bogotá, Colombia — His Excellency Sidney Collie, Non-Resident Ambassador of The Bahamas to Colombia, presented Letters of Credence to His Excellency Ivan Duque, President of the Republic of Colombia, on 30 June 2021.

Ambassador Collie was one of twenty-one ambassadors presenting credentials to President Duque. President Duque committed to strengthening the Government of Colombia’s bilateral relationship with the Government of The Bahamas.

Prior to his presentation to President Duque, Ambassador Collie presented copies of his Letters of Credence to Her Excellency Marta Lucia Ramirez, Vice President and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Colombia. In addition to discussions on matters of mutual interest, Ambassador Collie acknowledged the longstanding friendship between The Bahamas and Colombia and thanked the Government of Colombia for its contributions to The Bahamas following Hurricane Dorian in 2019.

Ambassador Collie also serves as Ambassador of The Bahamas to the United States of America, Permanent Representative of The Bahamas to the Organization of American States and Non-Resident Ambassador of The Bahamas to Mexico.
