WASHINGTON, D.C. — Ms. Krissy Hanna, Second Secretary/Alternate Representative of the Embassy/Permanent Mission of The Bahamas in Washington, D.C., represented The Bahamas during a week-long seminar, entitled “Washington Defense and Security Seminar,” held from 14th to 18th September 14 – 18, 2015, at the William Perry Center for Hemispheric Studies in Fort McNair, Washington, D.C.

The seminar, which was conducted for over 80 participants, including defense and military attachés and the diplomatic community, provided an opportunity for participants to develop their knowledge and understanding of the defense and security environment and the policymaking processes of Washington, D.C. in relation to U.S. national and regional security policy.


During the week, presentations were delivered by high-level representatives from the U.S. Departments of State, Defense, Homeland Security, the U.S. Northern and Southern Commands, the American Enterprise Institute and the William Perry Center for Hemispheric Studies.
