In one of his initial meetings in his posting as the Bahamas’ Ambassador to the United States, H. E. Wendall Jones accompanied by diplomatic members of The Bahamas Embassy in Washington DC visited the campus of the University of North America (UONA) in Fairfax, Virginia.

During the visit, Ambassador Jones met with the University’s President and Co-Founder, Ms. Jill Martin and university officials including Academic Director Dr. Pete West, Academic Administrative Director Dr. Jason Chao, Education Business Developers Ms. Jennifere Clayton and Mr. Glenn Garcia to discuss potential educational opportunities for Bahamian students and matters of mutual interests.

Ambassador Jones and the University Executives also discussed possible future collaborations between the University of The Bahamas and the University of North America. The executives of that institution are also excited about a visit to The Bahamas to discuss these matters.

The University of North America (UONA) is an international tertiary institution with students and faculty members from many countries around the world. It is well known for its global focused, student centered and career oriented educational system.

Also attending the meeting were Ms. Sonia Rose, Executive Manager in the Office of the Ambassador and Economic Attaché, Ronique Brown.
