Ambassador Jones meets with Anthony Howell, Bermuda’s Territory Representative

On Wednesday, July 26, 2023, Anthony Howell, Bermuda’s Director & Overseas Representative in Washington, D.C., paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Wendall Jones, Ambassador of The Bahamas to the United States. During the meeting, Ambassador Jones and Mr. Howell took the opportunity to discuss matters of mutual interest, including financial services, climate change, renewable energy, and ways to foster relations between the two nations.

 

Ambassador Jones and Mr. Howell also discussed The Bahamas’ tourism sector, economic expansion, and the importance of small nations and territories supporting each other. They shared each country’s history and relationship, from the Eleutheran Adventurers to relations with the Former Prime Minister of The Bahamas, Sir Lynden Pindling, to visited by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Public Service, Frederick Mitchel

 

The Bahamas and Bermuda share great history and look forward to continued engagement and future collaboration.
