WASHINGTON, D.C.- On 16 December, 2019, His Excellency Jose Manuel G. Romualdez, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to the United States of America, paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Sidney Collie, Ambassador of The Bahamas to The United States of America and Permanent Representative of The Bahamas to the Organization of American States.

Ambassador Collie and Ambassador Romualdez discussed matters of mutual interest, including the importance of cooperation to strengthen nations’ capabilities for climate change adaptation and resilience. Ambassador Romualdez also formally presented to Ambassador Collie a letter from Rodrigo Duterte, President of the Philippines, informing of the Government of the Philippine’s contribution of $100,000 to The Bahamas’ relief and reconstruction efforts in the wake of Hurricane Dorian.
